June, a Yorkshire-born lass has lived in New Zealand for many years and husband Mick is New Zealand born and both have travelled extensively.   MIck is an ex Navy man and  military history enthusiast with a particular interest in Napoleonic  (Peninsular Wars & Battle Of Waterloo), NZ Wars and Naval History.

June does paintings and pottery and is known locally as "The Boot Lady" because of the little hand-crafted "Gum Digger” boots she makes and fires at the motel.
